Assistant Manager
Supporting our General Manager, in the seamless operations of our Taproom, you will drive and inspire the team on shift to hit targets, while delivering exceptional customer service.

The Role
As Assistant Manager, you will support the Taproom General Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the venue, stepping in to lead the team in their absence. You will play a key role in driving the business forward by enhancing customer satisfaction, boosting sales, and fostering a high-performing team dedicated to exceptional service.
This role is ideal for someone eager to grow their operational and leadership skills in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. The Assistant Manager’s position here is dynamic, often requiring the ability to manage a high volume of guests, particularly during weekends and events. Your leadership, team-building skills, and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining the taproom’s reputation and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Team Development: Support and motivate the front of house team, promoting a collaborative and positive work culture. Assist with staff training and development to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
- Operational Support: Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, maintaining stock levels, and upholding health and safety standards. Ensure compliance with licensing laws and company policies.
- Customer Experience: Deliver and uphold excellent customer service, creating memorable experiences for every visitor. Handle customer feedback professionally to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Event Management: Assist in coordinating and managing events, working closely with the Events Executive and marketing team.
- Financial Responsibility: Monitor sales performance, manage budgets effectively, and contribute to meeting revenue goals.
- Product Expertise: Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of Wiper and True’s beer offer to enhance the guests experience.
Requirements
- Experience in a hospitality management, preferably in a bar, taproom, or similar setting.
- A passion for craft beer and knowledge of brewing processes is advantageous.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Exceptional customer service abilities and a collaborative mindset.
- Proficiency in managing day-to-day operations and financial responsibilities.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
